Toby Shorin

Toby Shorin is a researcher and writer based in Brooklyn, New York, who currently serves as Researcher in Residence at Baukunst and as founder of the mental health research initiative Care Culture. He is also the co-founder and executive director of Other Internet Research Institute, a nonprofit research organization that investigates the psychological, political, and economic effects of digitalization. He is best known for his cultural analysis of how technology shapes communities, institutions, and meaning-making, with past work focusing on cryptocurrency networks and current work exploring emerging movements in mental health, wellness, and spirituality.
