Brian Attwell

Brian Attwell is a Member of Technical Staff at Atoms, an automation machinery manufacturing company founded by Travis Kalanick, where he serves as head of software overseeing all engineering, product, design, and IT. He previously held senior staff software engineering roles at Uber, where he reached that level by age 25, and worked as a software engineer on the Android Open Source Project at Google. He is best known for leading mobile platform architecture at Uber, co-designing the RIB and plugin architecture frameworks, and more recently for open-sourcing Atoms' internal infrastructure including the Splitter sharding service and Lithium CRDT implementation.
