Davide Tateo

Davide Tateo is a researcher specializing in reinforcement learning and robotics, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Robotics and Semantic Systems group at Lund University as of October 2025, while also leading the Safe and Reliable Robot Learning Research Group at TU Darmstadt. He received his Ph.D. in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano in 2019 and co-developed MushroomRL, a Python reinforcement learning library. His research focuses on safe reinforcement learning, motion planning, and deploying learning algorithms on real robotic systems.
