Markus Villig

Markus Villig is an Estonian entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Bolt, a global mobility platform offering ride-hailing, micro-mobility, and food delivery services across Europe and Africa. He founded the company in 2013 at age 19 with a €5,000 loan from his family, originally launching it as a taxi-hailing app called Taxify in Tallinn, Estonia. Bolt has since expanded to over 500 cities in more than 45 countries, and Villig is recognized as one of Europe's youngest self-made billionaires following the company's $8.4 billion valuation in 2021.
