Andrew S. Grove

Andrew S. Grove was a Hungarian-American engineer and businessman who served as the third CEO of Intel Corporation. He joined Intel as its third employee on the day of its founding in 1968, became president in 1979, CEO in 1987, and chairman in 1997. He is best known for transforming Intel from a memory chip manufacturer into the world's dominant producer of microprocessors, helping usher in the personal computer era, and for his management philosophy captured in his book Only the Paranoid Survive. He passed away on March 21, 2016, at the age of 79.
