Douglas Carl Engelbart (1925–2013) was an engineer and inventor who directed the Augmentation Research Center at Stanford Research Institute, where he developed the oN-Line System (NLS) and demonstrated the computer mouse, hypertext, and collaborative computing in his 1968 "Mother of All Demos."
