Zsolt Kira
Zsolt Kira is an Associate Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Interactive Computing and serves as Associate Director of ML@GT, Georgia Tech's machine learning center. He leads the Robotics Perception and Learning (RIPL) lab, where his research focuses on generalization and robustness at the intersection of machine learning, perception, and robotics. He is known for work on Vision-Language-Action models, real-to-sim-to-real pipelines including the EmbodiedSplat project, and neural fields and Gaussian Splatting for robotics applications. He previously served as a Branch Chief at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) and received his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech in 2010.
“Senior author and faculty member. His lab is actively working on EmbodiedSplat and related real-to-sim navigation and manipulation, making him a key figure in Gaussian Splatting for robotics.”
