Yong Jae Lee

Yong Jae Lee is the Susan Beth Horwitz Professor of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he leads the Wisconsin AI and Vision Lab (WAIV), and a Principal Research Scientist at Adobe Research. His research focuses on computer vision, machine learning, and robotics, with an emphasis on creating robust AI systems that can understand multimodal data with minimal human supervision. He is known for notable projects including LLaVA, GLIGEN, SEEM, YOLACT, and FineGAN. He previously served as an associate professor at UC Davis and as an AI Visiting Faculty at Cruise.
