Robin Murray

Sir Robin MacGregor Murray is Professor of Psychiatric Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London. He is best known for his research on psychosis, particularly for being among the first to propose that schizophrenia is in part a neurodevelopmental disorder and for demonstrating that heavy cannabis use can contribute to the onset of psychosis. He also treats patients with psychotic illnesses at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and was knighted in 2011 for his services to medicine.
