Thomas Wolf

Thomas Wolf is the co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Hugging Face, where he leads the company's open-source and open-science initiatives. He is best known for creating or advising widely used machine learning libraries including Transformers, Datasets, and Diffusers, as well as spearheading collaborative research projects such as the BigScience Workshop that produced the BLOOM language model. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistical and Quantum Physics from Sorbonne University and previously worked as a patent attorney before transitioning into machine learning and co-founding Hugging Face.
