Sean Barrett

Sean Barrett is the Founder, Managing Partner, and CIO of Counter Global, L.P., a concentrated public equity investment firm based in Santa Monica, California, which he established in January 2024. He manages long-only equity strategies with a focus on software and technology names, applying a fundamentals-driven approach to identify high-conviction positions. Prior to founding Counter Global, Barrett spent nearly 14 years as a Partner at HMI Capital Management in San Francisco and began his career in investment banking at Credit Suisse. He holds a BS in Finance and Legal Studies from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
