Luca Bocchio

Luca Bocchio is a Partner at Balderton Capital, where he focuses on early-stage investments in European technology companies. He joined Balderton in September 2026 after more than a decade as an investor in the European technology ecosystem, most recently as a Partner at Accel. He is best known for backing category-defining European businesses including Trade Republic, SumUp, Vinted, and Fuse Energy, with investment experience spanning fintech, consumer, AI applications, defense, and energy sectors. Originally from Italy, he holds a Master of Science in Management and Corporate Finance from LIUC University and began his career at Bain & Company before moving into venture capital.
