Chelsea Finn

Chelsea Finn is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where she holds the William George and Ida Mary Hoover Faculty Fellow position. She is also a co-founder of Physical Intelligence, a robotics company developing learning algorithms for robot control. Her research focuses on enabling robots and other agents to develop broadly intelligent behavior through learning and interaction, with work spanning meta-learning, deep reinforcement learning, and vision-language-action models. She is a co-author of OpenVLA, an open-source vision-language-action model for generalist robot manipulation.
