Lance Oppenheim

Lance Oppenheim is an American filmmaker and documentarian known for blending nonfiction storytelling with cinematic formalism. He directed the acclaimed documentaries Some Kind of Heaven (2020), exploring life inside The Villages retirement community, and Spermworld (2024), as well as the HBO documentary series Ren Faire (2024). He graduated from Harvard University in 2019 and has produced work for The New York Times Op-Docs, FX, and Hulu.
