Deborah Leslie

Deborah Leslie is an assistant district attorney in the Clayton County District Attorney's Office in Georgia, where she works in the appellate and asset forfeitures unit. She is best known for being suspended from practicing before the Georgia Supreme Court for six months after admitting to using artificial intelligence software to draft legal briefs that contained fictitious and inaccurate case citations in connection with a murder appeal. The Georgia Supreme Court formally admonished her and required her to complete 12 additional hours of continuing legal education focused on the proper use of AI in the legal system before she can be reinstated.
