Calvin French-Owen

Calvin French-Owen is a technologist and entrepreneur based in the San Francisco Bay Area who currently serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Thrive Capital. He is best known as the co-founder and former CTO of Segment, the customer data infrastructure company he helped build from 2011 until 2020, which was later acquired by Twilio. He also held a brief stint as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, where he worked on launching Codex, and serves on the board of Stainless, an API developer tools company.
