Raghu Raghuram is a managing partner and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, serving on the firm's AI Infrastructure and Growth investing teams. He spent over two decades at VMware, where he held leadership roles including COO and ultimately CEO, helping grow the company to over $13B in revenue and more than 300,000 customers across 60+ countries before its $69B acquisition by Broadcom in late 2023. He is widely recognized as a leading infrastructure strategist and is involved in a16z's $1.1B Machine Age Fund, which targets the physical buildout of AI infrastructure including chips, memory, networking, storage, data centers, and robotics. He holds master's degrees from IIT Madras (Physics) and IIT Bombay (Electrical Engineering), as well as an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
