Peter Steinberger

Peter Steinberger is an Austrian computer programmer and entrepreneur currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI in San Francisco, a position he assumed in February 2026. He is best known as the creator of OpenClaw, an open-source autonomous AI agent that became GitHub's most-starred software project and is now stewarded by the independent OpenClaw Foundation, and as the founder and former CEO of PSPDFKit, a document-processing SDK company he bootstrapped over a decade before exiting in 2021.
