Tom Blomfield

Tom Blomfield is a British entrepreneur best known as the co-founder of Monzo Bank, one of the UK's first app-based challenger banks, which counts roughly 10 percent of the UK population as customers. He previously co-founded the payments processing company GoCardless in 2011 and later served as a General Partner at Y Combinator before taking a leave of absence to join Anthropic as a member of technical staff on the compute team in July 2026. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2019 for services to improving competition and financial inclusion in the banking sector.
