Chad Bown

Chad Bown is a Partner and Managing Director at Flathead Forge, a Houston-based venture firm focused on hard-tech startups in energy, water, and critical minerals. He previously served as Managing Director and head of Americas at BP Ventures, where he spent over a decade leading venture investment and portfolio activities across the region and directed sell-side transactions returning more than $600 million across 25 liquidity events. He was recognized on the Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist in 2023. His earlier career includes roles at Shell and Jacobs Engineering and service as a Captain in the US Air Force.
