Arturo Moreno

Arturo Moreno is an American businessman and the owner of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team, which he purchased from the Walt Disney Company in 2003 for $184 million. He made his fortune through the billboard advertising company Outdoor Systems, which he took public in 1996 and later sold to Infinity Broadcasting for $8 billion. A Tucson native and University of Arizona graduate who served in the Vietnam War, Moreno became the first Mexican-American to own a major professional sports franchise in the United States. He has served as the Angels' controlling owner for over two decades, during which the team has won multiple AL West titles but has not reached the postseason since 2014.
