Zackory Erickson

Zackory Erickson is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where he leads the Robotic Caregiving and Human Interaction (RCHI) Lab. His research focuses on physical human-robot interaction, mobile manipulation, and robotic caregiving, developing methods that combine machine learning, control, and multimodal sensing to assist older adults and people with disabilities. He holds a PhD in Robotics from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was advised by Charlie Kemp, and has published extensively on robot-assisted dressing, feeding, and deformable object manipulation.
