Bill Dally

Bill Dally is the chief scientist and senior vice president of research at NVIDIA, a position he has held since January 2009. He previously served as a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Stanford University and MIT, where he and his teams built pioneering parallel computer systems including the J-Machine and M-Machine. He is best known for his contributions to the architecture of interconnection networks and parallel computers, including the development of wormhole routing and virtual-channel flow control, for which he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2009.
