Mica Xu Ji

Mica Xu Ji is a researcher at Altos Labs, Inc., whose work focuses on deep learning, computer vision, and unsupervised learning. She completed her PhD at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Andrea Vedaldi and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms (Mila) at the University of Montreal. She is best known for her work on Invariant Information Clustering (IIC) for unsupervised image classification and segmentation, as well as her research on information bottlenecks in deep learning and continual learning.
