Peter J. Liu

Peter J. Liu is an AI researcher and co-founder of Twenty Labs, an applied research lab whose first product is Compound, an AI financial analyst. He previously worked as a research scientist at Google DeepMind and Google Brain, where he led the Science of Scaling initiative and contributed to projects including Gemma 2 and the T5 language model. He is known for foundational research in language modeling, summarization, and generative AI, including early work on decoder-only Transformer architectures.
