Koray Kavukcuoglu

Koray Kavukcuoglu is the CTO of Google DeepMind and Chief AI Architect at Google, serving as a Senior Vice President who reports directly to CEO Sundar Pichai. He joined DeepMind in 2012 as a research scientist and previously served as VP of Research, where he founded the deep learning team and contributed to major breakthroughs including DQN and WaveNet. He earned a PhD in computer science from New York University under AI pioneer Yann LeCun and is best known for his work advancing Google's generative AI models and integrating them into products at scale.
