Guiliang Liu is an Assistant Professor at the School of Data Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He earned his Ph.D. in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Waterloo and the Vector Institute. His research focuses on reinforcement learning and embodied intelligent decision-making, including the development of data engines for embodied intelligence and inverse constrained reinforcement learning models for safe control systems. He has authored over 30 papers in leading machine learning conferences and journals and serves as an Area Chair for NeurIPS and ICLR.
