Doug Bernauer

Doug Bernauer is the CEO and co-founder of Radiant Nuclear, a company based in El Segundo, California, that is developing portable nuclear microreactors. He previously spent twelve years at SpaceX working on avionics and R&D projects, including power systems modeling for potential Mars colonization. He co-founded Radiant in 2020 with CTO Bob Urberger to develop the Kaleidos microreactor, a one-megawatt-electric generator designed as a replacement for diesel generators. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
