Rick Warren

Rick Warren is an American evangelical Christian pastor and author who founded Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, in 1980. He currently serves as executive director of the Finishing the Task, a global mission coalition, and as founding pastor of Saddleback Church after stepping down as senior pastor in 2022. He is best known for authoring The Purpose Driven Church and The Purpose Driven Life, the latter of which has sold over 30 million copies, and for developing the Purpose Driven philosophy of ministry centered on five purposes: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism.
