Diana Hu

Diana Hu is a Managing Partner at Y Combinator and a co-host of the Lightcone podcast. She co-founded the augmented reality backend company Escher Reality (YC S17), which was acquired by Niantic in 2018, where she subsequently led the AR Platform team and shipped AR features to Pokémon GO players. She originally studied computer vision and machine learning at Carnegie Mellon University and joined YC full-time as a Group Partner in 2022 after returning as a Visiting Group Partner in 2021. She is best known for her work with founders in AI, robotics, and hard tech.
