Yann LeCun

Yann LeCun is a French-American computer scientist and the Jacob T. Schwartz Professor of Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University. He served as VP and Chief AI Scientist at Meta Platforms, where he led the company's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) laboratory from its founding in 2013. He is best known for his foundational contributions to deep learning and convolutional neural networks, work for which he was co-recipient of the 2018 ACM Turing Award. He is also a co-recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering.
