Tim Weiss

Tim Weiss is an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Imperial College London's Business School. His research investigates frontier markets and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on the adverse and unintended consequences of entrepreneurial activity on society, including crime and misconduct in Silicon Valley startups. He is a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Network for Technology and Entrepreneurship Research in Africa and has conducted extensive fieldwork studying Kenya's Silicon Savannah and urban informal economies. His work has been published in leading management journals and received the Distinguished Winner award for Responsible Research in Management from the Academy of Management Fellows.
