Tom Alberg

Tom Alberg is the co-founder and managing partner of Madrona Venture Group, a Seattle-based venture capital firm he established in 1995 alongside William Ruckelshaus, Paul Goodrich, and Jerry Grinstein. He is best known as one of the earliest investors in Amazon, having invested in the company's seed round in 1995 and served on its board of directors for 23 years. Prior to founding Madrona, he was an executive vice president at McCaw Cellular and a prominent lawyer at Perkins Coie. He passed away on August 5, 2022.
