James Mi

James Mi is the Founding Partner of Lightspeed China Partners, a leading China-focused early-stage venture capital firm he established in 2011. He is best known for his early-stage investments in major technology companies including Meituan, Pinduoduo, Innolight, Hesai Technology, and Rong360, and was named to the Forbes Midas List of top venture capitalists for five consecutive years from 2017 to 2021. Prior to founding Lightspeed China Partners, he served as Director of Corporate Development for Google in Greater China and held management positions at Intel, where he co-invented MLC NOR Flash technology. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Fudan University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
