R. Martin Chávez

R. Martin Chávez is a computer scientist, entrepreneur, and investor who serves as a board member of Alphabet Inc. and as partner and vice chairman of the private capital firm Sixth Street. He is best known for his twenty-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where he held multiple senior leadership roles including chief information officer, chief financial officer, and global co-head of the Securities Division. He holds a Ph.D. in medical information sciences from Stanford University and serves as president of the Board of Overseers of Harvard University.
