Jennifer Doudna

Jennifer Doudna is an American biochemist and the Li Ka Shing Chancellor's Chair Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where she also directs the Innovative Genomics Institute. She is a co-founder of Scribe Therapeutics, a molecular engineering company focused on CRISPR-based technologies for therapeutic use. She is best known for her pioneering work on CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, for which she received the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry jointly with Emmanuelle Charpentier.
