Lerrel Pinto

Lerrel Pinto is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, where he works on robotics and machine learning. He earned his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and was a postdoctoral researcher before joining NYU in September 2020. He is known for his research in robot learning, including self-supervised and reinforcement learning methods for manipulation and control. He has also co-founded robotics ventures including Assured Robot Intelligence and Fauna Robotics.
