Jon Krakauer

Jon Krakauer is an American writer and mountaineer, born April 12, 1954, best known for his bestselling non-fiction books Into the Wild and Into Thin Air. He is the author of eight books and has written extensively for publications including Outside, National Geographic, The New Yorker, and Rolling Stone. He serves on the board of the American Himalayan Foundation and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
