Abhishek Gupta

Abhishek Gupta is an assistant professor in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, where he leads the Washington Embodied Intelligence and Robotics Development (WEIRD) Lab. He earned his Ph.D. at UC Berkeley under the advisement of Sergey Levine and Pieter Abbeel and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT. He is known for his research on deep reinforcement learning algorithms that enable robots to learn complex tasks in unstructured, real-world environments, with focus areas including deployment-time adaptation, offline reinforcement learning, and foundation models for embodied AI.
