Chelsea Finn

Chelsea Finn is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University and a co-founder of Physical Intelligence, a robotics company developing general-purpose learning algorithms for robot control. She previously served as a research scientist at Google Brain and Google DeepMind from 2018 to 2024. Her research focuses on enabling robots and other agents to develop broadly intelligent behavior through learning and interaction, with work spanning meta-learning, deep reinforcement learning, and end-to-end learning of visual perception and robotic manipulation skills. She is a recipient of the ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award, the MIT Technology Review 35 Under 35 Innovator list, and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
