Shaul Druckmann

Shaul Druckmann is an associate professor of neurobiology, psychiatry and behavioral sciences, and by courtesy electrical engineering at Stanford University, where he leads the Druckmann Lab and is a member of the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. His research focuses on understanding how dynamics in neuronal circuits relate to the representation of information and computation, combining theoretical modeling with analysis of neural population recordings. He is a McKnight Scholar, Sloan Research Fellow, and co-author of a 2023 Nature paper demonstrating a high-performance speech neuroprosthesis that decodes attempted speech from intracortical recordings at 62 words per minute.
