Gwen Shotwell

Gwynne Shotwell is the President and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, the American space transportation company founded by Elon Musk. She joined SpaceX in 2002 as Vice President of Business Development and was promoted to president in 2008 after securing a major NASA resupply contract for the International Space Station. She oversees day-to-day operations, customer and strategic relations, and has managed efforts spanning Falcon rocket development, Starlink, and crewed missions to orbit. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics.
