Michael Kremer

Michael Kremer is a University Professor in the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago, where he directs the Development Innovation Lab. He was the joint recipient of the 2019 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for his experimental approach to alleviating global poverty. His work on Advance Market Commitments for vaccines was instrumental in the development of a new pneumococcal vaccine, and he has co-founded initiatives including Deworm the World and the Dispensers for Safe Water Program.
