Adam Hansmann

Adam Hansmann is a venture partner at Switch Ventures and the co-founder and former president of The Athletic, a subscription-based sports media company that was acquired by The New York Times in 2022 for $550 million. He co-founded The Athletic with Alex Mather in 2016, building it from a single-city launch in Chicago into a platform with subscribers across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He holds a B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and previously worked at McKinsey & Company, Calera Capital, and Strava prior to founding The Athletic.
