Song-Chun Zhu

Song-Chun Zhu is a chair professor at Peking University and Tsinghua University, and serves as founding director of the Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence (BIGAI) and dean of the School of Intelligence Science and Technology at Peking University. His research spans computer vision, statistical modeling, cognitive AI, machine learning, and robot autonomy. He is best known for his work on visual commonsense reasoning and statistical models for computer vision, and has led multiple MURI programs on scene understanding and visual commonsense reasoning.
