Henry M. Paulson Jr.

Henry M. Paulson Jr. is an American investment banker and financier who served as the 74th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury under President George W. Bush from 2006 to 2009. He is the founder and chairman of the Paulson Institute, a non-partisan organization focused on fostering U.S.-China relations and promoting sustainable economic growth. He also serves as executive chairman of TPG Rise Climate, the climate investing platform of the global private equity firm TPG. Prior to his government service, Paulson spent thirty-two years at Goldman Sachs, serving as chairman and chief executive officer beginning in 1999.
