Vijay S. Pande is a Trinidadian-American scientist and venture capitalist who co-founded VZVC, a Bay Area venture firm focused on AI-driven healthcare, alongside Zack Werner in 2025. He previously served as a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he founded and led the firm's Bio + Health fund from 2014 until his departure in 2025. Pande is best known for creating Folding@home, the distributed computing protein-folding research project recognized by Guinness World Records as the most powerful distributed computing network in the world.
