Roberto Serrano

Roberto Serrano is the Harrison S. Kravis University Professor of Economics at Brown University, where he has taught since 1992. He is a game theorist and economic theorist who earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University under advisors including Andreu Mas-Colell and Eric Maskin. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and the Game Theory Society, and received the King of Spain Prize for Economics in 2024. He recently gained public attention for identifying mass AI-assisted cheating on a take-home midterm exam in his advanced mathematical economics course at Brown.
