Scott Sumner

Scott Sumner is an American economist and the Ralph G. Hawtrey Chair Emeritus of Monetary Policy at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, as well as Professor Emeritus at Bentley University. He is best known for popularizing the concept of nominal GDP targeting through his economics blog The Money Illusion, and is considered a leading figure in the school of economics known as market monetarism. He was named one of Foreign Policy magazine's top 100 global thinkers in 2012.
