Barun Kar

Barun Kar is the CEO and co-founder of Upscale AI, a Santa Clara-based company focused on AI networking infrastructure. He is a veteran networking executive with over 25 years of R&D experience, having served on the founding team at Palo Alto Networks as Senior Vice President of Engineering and previously overseeing the Ethernet portfolio at Juniper Networks. He holds a B.S. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Under his leadership, Upscale AI has raised $500 million in total funding at a $2 billion valuation.
